- Provide subject matter expertise for the testing of aerospace hardware
- Provide guidance to programs and projects regarding strategies for and execution of development, acceptance, and qualification test campaigns
- Write test plans and procedures to support program milestones
- Execute test procedures at both internal company facilities and external facilities
- Generate formal test documentation such as technical memos and test reports
- Present test results to internal and external customers.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of the company's approach to testing
- Interface with customers and suppliers to present technical and programmatic progress as well as challenges that must be overcome
- Ideally lead a 2-5-person team and execute independent projects for larger programs while achieving technical scope on budget and on schedule, or ability to train and grow into this role
- Knowledge of, and skilled in, the development and execution of test plans and procedures as they relate to the development, acceptance, and qualification of aerospace hardware and systems
- Ability to troubleshoot test setups and consider solutions in either the hardware or software domains
- Laboratory experience with complex test setups, operations, data collection, and automation
- Knowledge and experience with electromechanical hardware (e.g. valves, pumps, fans, subsystems, instrumentation, and sensors)
- Knowledge and experience in the engineering product lifecycle, ranging from requirements development through design, manufacture, test, and operations
- Ability to develop practical and tailored test solutions
- Skill in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
- Ability to effectively communicate in both written and spoken form
- Ability to establish and maintain effective, positive work relationships; have creativity, flexibility, and resourcefulness; have discriminating judgment, tact, and sense of humor
- Ideally, but not required, knowledge of and skills in NASA human spaceflight hardware Life Cycle, Certification, and Engineering processes
- Ideally, but not required, knowledge of and skills in LabVIEW programming
- Ideally, but not required, skills in project budgeting and forecasting
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent field and minimum 3-5 years with system and/or hardware test experience
- Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent field and minimum 2-3 years with system and/or hardware test experience
- US Citizen or US permanent resident.
