POSITION SUMMARY: Perform the duties required to coordinate and monitor provision of medical services in a professional manner for each individual patient.Education: Bachelor's of Science in Nursing.Experience: Three (3) years as an RN in community clinic, public health nursing, and/or hospital setting.Skills and Abilities (which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly, associated with this position):
  • Requires strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively individually as well as a team member with physicians and other staff.
  • Ability to appropriately interact and educate patients, families, and staff.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Microsoft office applications such as Outlook, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to coordinate the activities of a busy provider practice.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Transportation Requirement: Must possess a valid driver's license and automobile with insurance coverage as required by the State of Missouri.License(s)/Certificate(s): Licensed as RN in the State of Missouri.Essential Functions
  • Coordinate and monitor the quality of medical assistant services.
  • Coordinate and monitor provisions of medical services.
  • Assist providers, take and record vital signs, abnormal results, distribute sample medications and administer injections per provider's orders.
  • Triage walk-in clients, call-in clients as appropriate for patient care and safety.
  • Keep patients' records, complete appropriate forms and reports. Provide appropriate documentation. Adhere to patient confidentiality.
  • Monitor exam set-up.
  • Provide health education and counsel patients and family members in provider instructions and treatment program. Coordinate nursing care plans with other team members.
  • Initiate the referral of high-risk patients and families for special services, team management, and track the patient's referral (i.e.) abnormal lab results.
  • Assist with implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of Quality Improvement Programs.
  • Observe sign and symptoms, document and report reactions of the treatment to the provider.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
