Kforce has a client that is seeking a Junior Python Developer (AI focused) in Woburn, MA. Summary: We're looking for a Junior Python Developer to join our data engineering team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career to gain hands-on experience with data pipelines, reporting tools, and backend integration. You'll work alongside experienced developers and analysts to support data-driven decision-making across the organization. Key Responsibilities: Data Visualization & Reporting:
  • Assist in building dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or custom web interfaces
  • Help integrate data from various sources using Power Query and basic API connections
  • Support the creation of visual reports that help business teams understand key metrics
Data Extraction & Preparation:
  • Contribute to ETL workflows using Python and SQL to extract and transform data from databases like PostgreSQL and MSSQL
  • Help automate data cleaning and formatting tasks using Excel (Power Query, VBA) and scripting tools
  • Participate in validating data quality and ensuring consistency across datasets
  • Bachelor's degree (or in progress) in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in software development, data analysis, or business intelligence
  • Experience with Excel and documentation tools like Visio or Lucidchart
  • Familiarity with SQL and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MSSQL)
  • Understanding of ETL concepts and data pipelines
  • Basic proficiency in Python for scripting and data manipulation
  • Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Willingness to learn Java for backend integration tasks
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Exposure to data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau
  • Interest in cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Familiarity with Git for version control
  • Curiosity about machine learning or predictive analytics
  • Any experience in financial services or regulated industries is a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range.
