- Working across multiple stakeholders to gather and define requirements and collaborate with development teams on design and implementation
- Conducting meetings, gathering critical information, and producing organized, detail-oriented meeting notes, documentation, and requirements
- Structuring ambiguous business problems and recommending concrete solutions using process design and supporting technologies
- Aligning with Product Owners to outline dependencies and risk for project work
- Identifying cross team dependencies or opportunities to refine and determine value
- Performing in-depth requirement analysis
- Communicating the results of your efforts in a clear and concise manner
- Collaborating with development teams on interface design and implementation
- Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements
- Performing user acceptance testing
- Monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of business analyst experience
- Experience working in an agile environment leveraging agile methodologies
- Understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a scrum team
- Experience working on digital applications (desktop and/or mobile formats) and a demonstrated understanding of user experience and functionality preferred
- Understanding of the financial services industry, including market knowledge across equities, fixed income, multi-asset, and/or alternative strategies is a plus
- Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
- Strong and concise communication skills (written, oral, and presentation)
- Ability to structure ambiguous business problems and partner with IT to recommend technology solutions
- Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
- Excellent documentation skills, including ability to visually represent complex process flows
- Skilled in building and managing relationships with key stakeholders and business partners
- Client focused with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through
- Highly motivated with the ability to work effectively independently and within a team
- Extremely detail-oriented and deadline driven with proven ability to multi-task across projects
- Ability to write User Stories with testable acceptance criteria that drive business value from a user perspective
- Propensity to learn new areas of the business, processes, and applications quickly
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience using Jira and Confluence (or similar systems) for agile project management and documentation preferred
- Experience using Artificial Intelligence to augment the business analyst function is a plus
