Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Truss Designer to join our team. As a Truss Designer, you will play a pivotal role in the design and development of truss systems for residential and commercial construction projects. Your expertise will ensure that our truss designs meet structural requirements while maximizing efficiency and cost-effectiveness.Responsibilities:
  • Utilize industry-leading software to design and engineer truss systems according to project specifications and structural requirements.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to develop innovative truss designs that optimize structural integrity and performance.
  • Conduct thorough calculations and analysis to ensure truss designs meet building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Generate detailed drawings, blueprints, and specifications for truss fabrication and installation.
  • Review and modify truss designs as needed based on feedback from stakeholders or changes in project requirements.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to internal teams and external clients regarding truss design, installation, and troubleshooting.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  • Proven experience in truss design within the building materials industry, with a strong understanding of structural principles and construction methods.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as MiTek, Alpine, or similar programs.
  • Solid grasp of building codes, regulations, and standards related to truss design and construction.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform complex calculations and structural analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in generating technical drawings and specifications.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
  • Prior experience in a similar role or familiarity with the manufacturing process of building materials is advantageous.
