Our Client, an Automotive company, is looking for a Controls Project Manager for their Auburn Hills, MI location.Responsibilities:
  • Distribute control functions and networking strategies
  • Implement core functions and diagnostics algorithm design
  • Validate the functions to requirements
  • Within PVPC Organization the Controls Management Team acts as the main interface to the individual program ensuring that its needs are met.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the global planning, execution and programs coordination of the Controls and SW platform solution for Engines / Transmissions / Hybrid / Battery / Charging / eMotor Electronic Control Units (depending on the job posting).
  • Being a Controls Manager will mean to have daily challenges but also great satisfactions. Every day will not end without you learning something new.
  • Providing Feasibility and cost assessment for Controls & SW to the vehicle/programs.
  • Representing the Controls System (Controllers and SW) vs the Propulsion System Community as primary interface.
  • Coordinating Controls Features development.
  • Defining Feature Roll-out Plan (What and When) that aligns to over all program milestones and objectives.
  • Playing a key role in the Controls & SW change Management, Quality assessment and Risk mitigation.
Requirements:
  • As you will be working on Complex Systems, it is essential the successful candidate can show a proven record of working on his/her own initiative and within a team delivering high quality and robust technical solutions
  • Bachelor/Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 7 years of engineering experience (5 years in automotive)
  • Ability to work in an Agile environment
  • Previous experience as Controls/SW developer, testing or calibration engineer will be considered a plus
  • Fluent English
  • Be proactive, take ownership and be accountable
  • Self-starter, vocal and confident
