- Software Development: Develop test software infrastructure and tools to make the test process more efficient.
- Develop instrumentation and controls hardware, test fixture GUI, LabView VIs and any other necessary tools to enable test execution and automation.
- Cross-functional: Work closely with Testing, Design, Software, Systems, Simulation and Certification, as well as with other supporting functions and IPTs to identify and scope out software requirements for the different test assets.
- System Test: Execute tests with the team for integration of hardware, software and specialized test equipment necessary to conduct verification of mission profiles, emergency response, Safety of Flight clearance and requirements.
- Create and maintain configuration control of the software under test and test equipment hardware & software, as well as calibration record.
- Analyze test data and generate reports to provide quantifiable feedback to the engineering teams and optimize designs.
- B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in test engineering.
- Expertise in developing Hardware In the Loop (HIL), simulation-based testing and/or integration tests of Hardware/Software.
- Fluent in developing LabVIEW VIs for data collection, automation, control, and real-time.
- Fluent in using VeriStand Software.
- Proficient with Linux environments (e.g., Ubuntu) and scripting (Python) for test support, automation or data processing.
- Experience with Instrumentation, Data Acquisition Systems and Sensors
- Experience with LabVIEW workflows, releases, git and SW team management.
- Knowledgeable about network architecture.
- Experience with high voltage systems and electronics.
- Experience with test laboratory environments and procedures.
- Experience with LabVIEW Runtime, Realtime, and FPGA.
- Experience with aircraft certification (ARP 4754, DO-178), regulatory requirements, compliance testing, aircraft software engineering processes, and test verification.
