So, take the first step in what is sure to be a fast - paced and highly diversified career.This role directly supports UMR's premier account, GEHA, with ~730k medical members operating in the shared service model with a business partner handling member calls using UMR's ecosystem. This role will work cross workstream and with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the operations are executed with a high level of quality and efficiency to provide excellent service to our business partner, GEHA, and their members. This role requires attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem solving using technical system knowledge and workflows around it. Strong customer service skills are also a must as they may be required to work directly with external businesses and GEHA directly in complex and difficult situations.You will work with a complex, matrix organization with 20+ interrelated business units. As an Operations Support Analyst, you'll be in the driver's seat on vital projects that have strategic importance to our mission.This position is full-time. Employees are required to have flexibility to work on any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 7:00am - 5:00pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.Primary Responsibilities:
  • Lead & participate in related workflow projects
  • Provide coaching and development to various departments as well as externally to our business partners
  • Build and refine operational documentation to support UMR and external business partner operations
  • Monitor and track operational performance related to the Premier Account and present information to leadership with recommendations
  • Determine trending analysis at the customer level to improve overall customer experience, enhance efficiency, and resolve issues
  • Perform other tasks as necessary to support the success of the Premier Account, UMR's operations, and our external business partner operations

  • High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • 1+ year of current or previous years' experience with CPS (claim processing system for UMR) (UMR is UnitedHealthcare's third-party administrator (TPA) solution and you must be or have been an employee of UMR specifically to have experience with the UMR claims system)
  • 2+ years of Customer Service experience
  • 2+ years of experience working on process improvement implementation and owning and resolving complex issues (doesn't have to be role specific)
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel (sort and filter data, pivot tables)
  • Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint (create and edit presentations)
  • Ability to work full-time, in any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 7:00am - 5:00pm CST, including the flexibility to work occasional overtime, given the business need
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of Operations Service Manager experience within UMR with increasing responsibilities, including experience with high profile OR highly demanding OR unique customers
  • 2+ years of Claim Processing experience in CPS (claim processing system for UMR), including complex adjustments, research and analysis of claim reports and issue resolution for coding OR processing issues (UMR is UnitedHealthcare's third-party administrator (TPA) solution and you must be an employee of UMR specifically to have experience with the UMR claims system)
  • Supervisory or team lead experience
  • Experience with coaching and mentoring of employees
Telecommuting Requirements:
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
