
Construction Manager - Project Based

- For those projects assigned to the Construction Manager, he or she shall be responsible for the proper planning and implementation as defined in the Matrix Operations Manual and in our Quality Systems. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Implementing required procedures and action plans as detailed in the Matrix Operations Manual (MOM) and in the Quality Systems (QS) documents.
- Maintaining project schedules. Communicating schedule issues to the PM.
- Maintaining on site project budgets. Communicating budget issues to the PM.
- Directing and coordinating all work related to assigned projects.
- Development of the site specific safety plans and implementation of same. Coordinate with client safety reps and procedures.
- Maintaining project communications through regular review meetings and day-to-day contact.
- Maintaining project correspondence files.
- Verifying completion of all required job specific inspections. Maintain file with inspection information.
- Assuring that all contractual requirements are satisfied.
- Maintaining client contact and coordinating flow of information between the Client and MTI.
- Maintaining records of purchased material. Tracking of receipt and location of material received on site.
- Assistance with the Issuing and administering of subcontracts.
- Coordinating billing with the MTI accounting for assigned projects.
- Working with Project Management to complete final job lessons learned and critiques at completion of projects.
- Maintain positive client relationships and develop potential work opportunities.
- Provide project managers with input on personnel assigned to your projects concerning their performance, attitude, potential, and/or problem areas as appropriate.
- Five or more years experience as a Construction Manager, Engineer or equivalent. Project Management experience a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Minimum of five years on-site construction/installation experience
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; stoop, kneel, crouch; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk, and hear.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color, vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- This employee may perform industrial field work which could include exposure to hazardous locations, inclement weather, moving mechanical parts, noise, ladders, uneven ground, and stairs.
- This employee may perform industrial field work which could include exposure to a wide range of known food allergens.
