We offer clinic based, school-based and in-home speech and occupational therapy services throughout the valley.ABOUT THE POSITION:The SPEAK Center for Language and Learning is looking for an experienced Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to provide quality teletherapeutic care for students in a remote school district. The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant will be responsible for the evaluation, interpretation of results and participation in special education eligibility decisions for students with speech impairments. This position is also responsible for developing and implementing intervention/treatment plans (Individual Educational Plans- IEPs) for students who are speech impaired. Adherence to Local policies and procedures as well as to State and Federal laws and regulations are required. The ideal candidate is adaptable, analytical, resourceful and knowledgeable about speech-related conditions and therapies.POSITION START DATE: ASAPJob Description:We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our team of professionals in providing telehealth services to school-aged children in the K-12 setting. As an SLPA at The Speak Center for Language and Learning, you will work closely with our licensed Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) to support the implementation of individualized therapy plans and facilitate the development of communication skills in children.Responsibilities:1. Assist licensed SLPs in the assessment, treatment, and documentation of speech and language disorders in school-aged children through telehealth platforms.2. Implement therapy activities and interventions under the guidance and supervision of licensed SLPs.3. Provide direct support and assistance to students during teletherapy sessions, ensuring engagement and participation.4. Collaborate with SLPs, teachers, parents, and other professionals involved in the child's education to facilitate a cohesive approach to therapy goals.5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of therapy sessions, progress notes, and other relevant documentation.6. Participate in team meetings, professional development activities, and training sessions as required.7. Adhere to ethical and professional standards in accordance with state regulations and company policies.8. Continuously seek opportunities for professional growth and development in the field of speech-language pathology.Qualifications:1. Bachelor's degree.2. Certification as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Arizona.3. Prior experience working with school-aged children preferred.4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate children in a virtual setting.5. Proficiency in using telehealth platforms and technology for therapy sessions.6. Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.7.
