You will assist agency staff in selecting and writing new business, as well as respond to underwriting questions and concerns from the agency force. Your duties will include re-underwriting existing business with the objective of modifying or eliminating undesirable risks in a manner that will promote the best interest of the company. In addition, you will be responsible for training agents through daily contact and by attending agency meetings and events.What It Takes to Join Our Team:
  • College degree or equivalent plus one year of relevant experience required.
  • P/C Insurance background required
  • Must have excellent problem solving, analytical and organizational skills.
  • Strong customer service skills, including verbal and written communications.
  • Ability to work under pressure and shift priorities to achieve corporate and business unit goals. Must be able to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to negotiate and cope with stressful situations.
  • Strong computer skills are required to quickly learn our multiple systems.
  • Must keep up-to-date regarding local, state and federal rules and regulations to insure government compliance and meet company guidelines.
  • Progress towards industry education is expected.
