- Managing the timely and accurate processing of customer orders, including picking, packing, and shipping.
- Complies with federal, state and local warehousing, material handling and shipping requirements by enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
- Safeguards warehouse operation and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
- Oversee the organization and maintenance of outbound inventory, ensuring accuracy and availability.
- Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
- Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
- Manages warehouse staff by coaching, counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring and appraising job results.
- Ability to interact and build strong relationships with internal and external customers.
- Excellent organizing, prioritizing, multi-tasking, product management and problem-solving skills with a strong sense of urgency.
- Analytical reporting skills
- Ability to effectively manage changing and sometimes spiking volumes.
- Ability to meet strict time frames in environments with zero tolerance for failure.
- A minimum of 3-4 years distribution management experience (Inbound/Outbound)
- Proven track record of the ability to mentor and develop supervisors.
- Safety Management Experience
- Inventory Control knowledge.
- Analytical reporting skills
- Knowledge of WMS systems
