RecruiterChris PereiraJob DescriptionThe Controls and Avionics (CAS) Aftermarket is seeking to add a Quality Control Engineer to the team. The CAS Aftermarket team is responsible for maintaining, repairing, modifying, and overhauling customer owned flight control systems. Our experienced staff tackles unique problems that come back from the field and ensures that the customer gets quality returns in a timely manner. We do this through a collaborative and cross functional approach in order to provide overall customer satisfaction.BAE Systems is seeking a dedicated individual who can work cross functionally across engineering, production, and customer support in order to provide high quality work to our customers. Technical understanding as well as clear and confident communication are key to our pursuit of success on each and every repair.Within the aftermarket team, the Quality Control Engineers (QCE) are the focal points within the department for all things quality. Being in a repair center brings unique challenges and issues for the team to rally around and fix for our customer. The QCE's lead investigation efforts for these repairs and ensure that the team understands the state of return, and the path to repair for our customer and end user alike. The QCE's are also key to ensuring that the team is compliant to specifications and manufacturing practices, and aides the team through inspection of workmanship in order to maintain high quality. In order to be effective in this position the QCE must physically analyze units, technically understand specifications and drawings, have a base understanding of electrical and mechanical assemblies, and be able to communicate all of these items out to technical and non-technical teams.
