Position DescriptionThis position supports the Applied team members with leading company fitness and wellness classes dedicated to making a meaningful, positive difference to our team members.Key Responsibilities:
- Understand and follow Applied Medical's Quality Systems (QS) per training.
- Read, write, speak and communicate effectively with other team members, and comprehend work and safety instructions.
- Understand and comply with safety rules and Company policies.
- Instruct a variety of weekly fitness classes in a safe and effective manner.
- Teach fitness classes as needed, such as, Strength, Core, Cardio, HIIT (cardiovascular or strength training), yoga, Pilates, meditation if qualified and certified.
- Provide appropriate modifications for classes of varying fitness and skill levels allowing all team members to participate.
- Monitor the equipment used in classes and make recommendations for replacement or new equipment when appropriate.
- Record class attendance on sign-in sheets for each class.
- Provide ideas and suggestions for new fitness classes.
- Be open and willing to cover a variety of fitness classes as needed.
- Maintain Team Member satisfaction by acquiring feedback, handling inquiries, concerns or comments and providing solutions.
- Actively seek feedback from Team Members utilizing the facilities by taking part in the fitness offerings at Applied.
- Ensure all certifications remain current.
- Support Wellness and Hospitality Teams as needed.
- Any and all related tasks deemed necessary by managers.
- Complete other duties as needed by the Associate Wellness and Recreation Manager, Senior Wellness and Hospitality Manager, Senior Director of Wellness and Hospitality and/or Vice President of Applied Family and Community.
- May need to work weekends and evenings as required.
- Must be flexible and willing to learn other duties as required.
- Interfaces daily with all teams at Applied.
- Active, NCCA accredited National Group Fitness Certification (ACSM, AFAA, ACE, NSCA) plus any relevant discipline specific certifications.
- CPR/AED certification.
- Pilates or Yoga certification, if applicable.
