- Primary responsibilities will include receiving goods and supplies at the SVT Health & Wellness Warehouse
- Stock and maintain clinic, administrative, and emergency supplies.
- Provide routine preventative maintenance and repair of health center facilities, systems, and grounds.
- Perform a variety of preventative and routine maintenance duties in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting and plastering.
- Maintain vehicle use logs, maintenance logs, compliance logs.
- Under direction of Facilities Manager, program thermostats, automatic timers, and change seasonally as required.
- Support Facilities Manager in scheduling required inspections for elevator
- Work as an active team member to maintain the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and updating the manual for products as needed.
- Assist in the inspection, maintenance, and repair of physical structure, heating, plumbing, medical equipment, security systems, and maintain applicable documentation.
- Logically investigate and analyze problems to accurately identify problems.
- Effectively interpret manuals, schematics, and operating procedures.

- Support Facilities Manager in conducting annual OSHA building inspection walk through
- Other duties as assigned
- Be able to travel as needed to other communities including to and from Homer / Seldovia by small airplane and sometimes by boat when airplanes are on weather hold. Travel is a day trip, but inclement weather may require an overnight stay. SVT provides lodging and meal stipend for overnight stay due to weather.
- This position requires the ability to meet or exceed all of the physical requirements of the job and the ability to work unrestricted in the applicable work environments
- Knowledge of basic carpentry, grounds maintenance, and building repair preferred
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment for needed repair
- Must be very organized
- Must efficiently respond to and perform assigned tasks in a timely manner

- Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member
- Must have excellent time management skills
- Reliability – regular, consistent and on-time attendance is critical to the success of this position.

- Safety Awareness – ability to identify and correct conditions that effect employee safety.
- Ability to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), Hazmat Mask, Ear and Eye Protection, and disposable gloves for cleaning
- Basic operational knowledge of a computer and keyboard.
- Alaska Driver’s License Required
- Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
- Experience:
- 2+ Years General Maintenance Experience Required
- 6+months’ experience in a clinical setting as maintenance, custodial, or warehouse/storage management preferred
- 11 Paid Holidays per year
