The Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting the Plant Controller. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a manufacturing facility, be self-motivated, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. We offer an excellent compensation and benefits package with career advancement opportunities.Summary of Responsibilities:Assist in the decision-making process by assessing purchasing activity outcomes.Plan, study and collect data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory, and laborCompare actual cost to estimates and analyzing data collected and recording resultsAnalyze actual manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports comparing budget costs to actual production costsAnalyze changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided, to determine effects on costRecord cost information for use in controlling expendituresAnalyze audits of costs and prepare reportsMake estimates of new and proposed product costsProvide management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or servicesMaintain Cost Accounting SystemConduct physical inventories and monitor cycle count programReconcile inventoriesAssist in Month end close of the General LedgerEnsure accurate processing and recording of company’s hourly payrollProvide timely and accurate financial informationManage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timelyContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededMinimum Qualifications:Finance/Accounting experience in a Manufacturing EnvironmentBachelor's Degree in AccountingMust have a strong Cost systems background and have excellent analytical skills; sound understanding of accounting principalsExperience working on development and analysis of cost standardsAbility to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reportsPreferred Qualifications:
