The Senior Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for leading and supporting manufacturing processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring efficient production operations. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize processes, reduce waste, and implement new and advanced manufacturing technologies. Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for new and existing products. Implement Lean manufacturing Principles and Six Sigma methodologies. Collaborate with design and quality teams to ensure manufacturability and compliance. Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions and standard operating procedures and assists with training. Evaluate and recommend equipment upgrades or new technologies to improve efficiency. Coordinate industrialization runs for new products and processes. Maintain routings in the system and evaluate efficiencies. Calculate capacity reports for planning purpose. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive improvements in safety, quality, productivity, and cost. Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues. Investigate and initiate cost-reduction initiatives. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering from an accreditied institution. Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing engineering expereince. Minimum of 3 years of lean manufacturing, six sigma, and/or continuous improvement tools. Able to travel 10% inside and outside of the United States including, but not limited to, the Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Canada No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of El Paso, TX will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation Master's degree in engineering or related field. Experience in Electric Power Distribution or the Automotive industry. Experience in Automated Wire Harness Assembly including cutting, crimping, and routing. Certifications such as Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt. Proficiency in CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools. Experience leading large CAPEX projects or new product development initiatives. Knowledge of cost estimating and cost-out tools and techniques. Familiarity with automation, robotics, and Industry 4.0 technologies. Experience with ERP systems and data analysis tools. Bilingual in English and Spanish.
