Assistant Cheerleading Coach

- Current Alabama Teacher’s Certification (preferred) or classified dependent upon qualifications of the person holding the position
- Previous Experience as a competitive Cheerleader participant and/or coach (preferred) but not required
- Must be available to attend afterschool practices and all sporting events
- Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators, parents, and students
- Works with cheerleaders during practices and sports activities
- Holds organizational meetings for team prospects and encourages students to participate
- Develops a regular practice schedule and organizes practice time to provide both individual and team development
- Follows established procedures in the event of an injury
- Conferences with parents/guardians, as necessary, regarding the academic, behavioral & sports performance of their student
- Attend the AHSAA sponsored rules clinic for his/her sport
