- Generate deal flow for direct lending initiatives.
- Conduct research and engage with business brokers to identify potential opportunities.
- Assist with establishing and nurturing relationships with bankers to enhance deal sourcing efforts.
- Reach out to the independent sponsor community, evaluating suitability for lending products based on deal size and capital backing.
- Participate in industry conferences to develop proprietary deal flow.
- Assist with providing dedicated coverage for small sponsors with fund sizes under $250 million
- Generate leads and identify potential sponsors through various channels such as networking, cold calling, and attending industry events.
- 5-7 years’ experience in Business Development. Investment Banking, Buyside Transaction Advisory or Lending/Private Equity backgrounds are a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, marketing, or related field
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or related roles.
- Strong understanding of market dynamics and business trends.
- Excellent communicator, with ability to interface with sponsors and management teams.
- Ability to work independently.
- Willingness to travel
- Preference given to candidates in Boston, Chicago and Florida and open to other locations.
