Elwood Staffing would like to inform job seekers about potential employment scams that involve individuals posing as our recruiters to solicit job seekers with job opportunities unrelated to our company. This issue has been reported in multiple states. The text scam poses as an Elwood Staffing recruiter and urges job seekers to apply for a fraudulent job. Some have reported they are being asked to contact them using Whatsapp to pay for computer equipment and background checks.What steps should you take if you suspect you've received a fraudulent text?
  • Job-seekers who receive an unsolicited text, email, or similar message suggesting it is from Elwood Staffing should not provide any information.
  • If you have clicked a suspicious link or shared your information, take steps to secure your personal and financial accounts immediately. Review and dispute any unauthorized charges.

  • Elwood Staffing does not utilize mobile apps or messenger services to connect with job seekers. We will not reach out to you through or suggest that you use WhatsApp or other messaging platforms outside of regular SMS text messaging for communication.

Customer Support Technician Details:
  • Temp-to-Hire position
  • $20.00 to $25.00 /hour
  • Full Time work available
  • First Shift (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm)
  • Serve as an initial point of contact for customers seeking technical support and troubleshooting issues.
  • Proactively address and resolve issues related to modem communication, connectivity, and reliability, offering technical support via phone, help-desk inquiries, and escalated support tickets.
  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot modems and industrial controller connectivity issues.
  • Analyze data to meet program deliverables and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Guide customers through troubleshooting processes and help navigate technical challenges effectively.
Customer Support Technician Qualifications:
  • Must have Customer Service Support Experience, perferrably dealing with Software or technical environments.
  • Must have good communication skills
  • Must have technical suppot experience, and knows how to trouble shoot issues related to hardware, software and other help desk inquiries.
  • Applicant may be subject to a background check
  • Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
