Your RoleAs a Gensler Interior Designer, you are passionate about your craft and combine creativity and technical knowledge with business skills and understanding to produce functionally beautiful spaces for clients. You have exceptional design skills, a background in architecture or design, and a portfolio of innovative design concepts. The industry’s next challenges include innovating in urban spaces, creating more energy-efficient operations, and achieving carbon goals.What You Will DoLead interior design teams on projectsCollaborate on Critical Facilities interiors projects, including programming client needs, conceptual and schematic design, design development, and management of budgets and schedulesDevelop space planning concepts and generate program documentsParticipate in the selection of furniture systems and specificationsProvide project team coordination for finish plans, specifications, and material selections required for constructionWork with consultants, developers, furniture dealers, product reps, and fabricators to meet overall project objectivesAssist in managing client expectations, team communication, and consultant coordinationContribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programsParticipate in business development and marketing effortsAssures design conforms to a contractual agreement with the clientEstablish and maintain ongoing, productive client relationshipsYour Qualifications10+ years of experience as an interior designer, with a focus on workplace projectsBachelor’s degree in Interior Design from an accredited schoolNCIDQ/CID requiredProficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3D, Rhino, Grasshopper, and other modeling software programsProficient in Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)Strong knowledge of the design process, Knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specifications. Experience with construction document preparationGraphics and visualization skills to effectively communicate design ideasStrong leadership, organization, communication, and relationship management skillsThis is not a hybrid or remote position.
