- Adhere to all safety and health objectives, policies and procedures of MEHP to provide for a safe and healthful workplace. Work in a safe manner at all times and report any unsafe conditions to your supervisor in order that the situation can be corrected. Report all accidents and near misses in a timely manner when they occur.
- To meet and maintain all customer quality standards as well as the standards of MEHP.
- Participate in continuous improvement programs and activities.
- Report any accident, injury, or near miss to your team leader immediately and report any unsafe work conditions in the workplace.
- Strive to meet or exceed departmental performance objectives on a daily basis as directed by the Team Leader.
- Perform all work within the guidelines of the control plan to ensure parts quality and customer satisfaction.
- May generate special or hazardous wastes in the course of their duties and must follow all work instructions that explain the handling of special and hazardous wastes.
- Maintain a clean work area and report any malfunctioning equipment to the Team Leader on a daily basis.
- Perform assemblies and other job functions per work guidance sheets.
- Return all tools to proper storage area at the end of the shift.
- Record and report all data required to maintain daily production records and submit the data to the Team Leader for input into the Highland Park data collection system.
- Direct all non-conforming parts to the appropriate reprocess area.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the production Team Leader.
- Ability to read, write and speak English effectively along with basic mathematical skills required.
- Previous assembly experience preferred.
- This position requires a person to have the ability to perform work while standing or walking a minimum of eight (8) hours a day, the ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a frequent basis and up to 75 pounds on an occasional basis, and the ability to perform work that is below the knees and above the shoulders on an occasional basis
- All candidates must pass a 10-panel drug screening, which includes testing for THC (marijuana), as a condition of employment.
