Position: The Data Manager will work closely with the VP-Administration, the administrative team, and the Technology Manager on all internal and external information systems. Provides assistance, training, and technical support to system users. The Data Manager maintains a custom participant services (Apricot) information system, ensuring consistency and integrity of data. The Data Manager will also conduct needs assessments and participate in development, testing, and implementation of new applications and/or enhancements and modifications to existing systems.ALLIANCE FOR COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY AFFIRMATIVE ACTION EMPLOYER.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Possesses the technical and software skills to perform the duties of the position (including Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office)

  • Demonstrates cultural competence/cultural humility in community relations and service delivery
  • Is able to articulate program goals and objectives, program performance indicators, and methods of program performance monitoring and evaluation. Able to participate in program design and development, contribute to budget planning, develop partnerships, and prepare funding proposals. Able to monitor and approve program expenditures and to track overall progress of program spending and deliverable results, as required.
  • Has the demonstrated ability to plan and organize work activities, to maintain positive relationships with team members, and to provide ongoing coaching and development of team members through evaluation and training.   • Maintains current knowledge of technology developments and trends in areas of responsibility, including telecommunications
  • Understands current computer data processing principles and database management practices.
  • Able to analyze operational data requirements and to create and develop databases specific to requirements.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Attends and participates in all mandatory meetings
  • Fosters positive relationships with community members and partner organizations
  • Participate in cultural and community building activities/events
  • Works to incorporate into organizational culture best practices for diversity, equity, and inclusion, restorative justice, and trauma-informed care
  • Completes complex administrative and analytical tasks involving the use of independent judgment and personal initiative; plans; ensures program quality and progress toward performance objectives
  • Ensures timely and accurate collection of data needed to analyze program performance, drafts policies and procedures, and ensures compliance with governmental regulations and grantor standards
  • Monitors changes in practices initiated by Department Directors and Program Managers; to ensure necessary adjustments to the internal data systems
  • Collaborates with admin, programs, and departments to develop and modify data collection systems and methods in order to further the organization’s vision and mission.
  • Consults and collaborates with third party development contractors
  • Maintains current knowledge with respect to data management system development
  • May conduct individual, group, and/or organization-based presentations related to database objectives and parameters.
  • Designs and implements systems necessary to monitor completeness and accuracy of recorded system data.
  • Troubleshoots data systems programming changes and modifications.
  • Assesses problems and engages outside technical support and/or repair services as needed
  • Resolves data input, storage and/or retrieval problems and designs solutions and modifications.
  • Other duties as assigned
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Previous experience in Apricot preferred
  • Knowledge of research methods and study design principles
  • Possess a current California Driver’s License, clean DMV record & adequate auto insurance.
  • Must submit to a Department of Justice Criminal background check
  • Initial TB employment clearance required
ALLIANCE FOR COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT IS A FAIR CHANCE, EQUAL OPPORTUNITY, AFFIRMATIVE ACTION EMPLOYER.The anticipated pay range for candidates who will work in California is $69,805 to $73,935 annually. The offered pay to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, etc.
