Become a maker of possible with us.Core responsibilitiesDay-to-day management of a talented global engineering teamInsuring work is conducted using good engineering practice, supported by appropriate analysis and test.Technical ownership of defining appropriate processes for mold validationPartnering with other business leaders to optimize project execution.Program/Project ManagementQualityOperationsProcurementSourcingContinuous improvement activities of engineering and business processes to support improved quality, efficiency and time to market.What’s needed for the role?Strong leadership and organization skillsGood interpersonal skillsExperience in mold verification of a Medical Device in a FDA-regulated environment is preferredFamiliar with product design including design for mold-ability. Plastic part design review to make sure it meets recommended design practices.Strong understanding of design from manufacturability and molding.Understanding of drawing tolerance schemes and analysisUnderstanding of drawing notes related to texture, gate remnant, flash, EJ pin marks, and other SPI standards for accuracyFamiliar with molding validation protocols use of scientific injection molding principles. Collaborate with a cross functional engineering team. Follow up on protocols approvals.Understanding of rubber part design and over mold considerations.Knowledge of Metal Injection Molding and CastingStrong understanding of project management practiceLead technical assessment of molding suppliersQualificationsBachelors Degree in EngineeringMinimum of 5 years of relevant industrial experience in an electro-mechanical environment, preferably medical.Minimum 5 years of experience with injection moldingMinimum of 2 years’ experience managing technical staffExperience developing and implementing processes and proceduresAt BD, we prioritize on-site collaboration because we believe it fosters creativity, innovation, and effective problem-solving, which are essential in the fast-paced healthcare industry.
