Job Category: OperationsJob Description:The Material Handler is responsible for maintaining a neat and orderly warehouse, assist with the shipping and receiving of equipment, tools, materials and inventory control.This position will be located at the Phoenix, Arizona branch for MGX Equipment Services and reports to the Parts Manager.Candidates hired for this role will receive a $4,500 sign-on bonus, payable after 90 days continuous service.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Receives, stores, and ships/distributes equipment, materials, tools, merchandise, and similar items in a storeroom or warehouse.
  • Unpacks, sorts and inspects items for damage.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
  • Ensures accuracy of records and logs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma or GED required. Prior experience within a warehouse in a construction or heavy equipment environment preferred.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Forklift experience a strong plus.
  • Must have excellent communication skills with a customer/client focus.

  • Perform job functions in a safe manner.
  • Wear all Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E.) required by Company policy for the job being performed.
  • Know and follow established job specific and facility wide safety and health procedures and rules.

  • Bring safety and health issues, unsafe acts, and safety suggestions to management's attention or correct those you can.
This position offers a pay range between $18.00 - $24.00 per hour depending on skills and qualifications for non-bargaining employees. Pay is provided on a bi-weekly basis and there are 14 days in the pay period, beginning on a Monday and ending on a Sunday.A customized training plan and career path is identified for each technician and provided within the first week of employment, outlining growth and advancement opportunities.WORKING CONDITIONS:This is a full-time position with typical working hours between 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. Overtime and weekend work may be possible based on business conditions.The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
