We are currently seeking a reliable and compassionate Transportation Specialist to join our team and ensure our residents arrive safely and promptly to their appointments.As a Transportation Specialist, you will play a vital role in our residents' lives by providing safe and efficient transportation services. Your primary responsibility will be to drive the company van and assist residents with their transportation needs, ensuring they reach their medical appointments and other scheduled activities on time.Key Responsibilities of a Transportation Specialist:
Safely Transport Residents: Drive the company van to transport residents to and from medical appointments, and other scheduled activities, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
Assist Residents: Help residents in and out of the vehicle, providing physical assistance as needed, and ensuring their safety during transportation.
Maintain Clean Driving Record: Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, maintaining a clean driving record and demonstrating safe driving practices.
Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and maintenance on the company van, reporting any issues to the maintenance team to ensure the vehicle remains in excellent working condition.
Coordinate Schedules: Work closely with the nursing and administrative teams to coordinate transportation schedules and ensure timely arrivals and departures.
Emergency Preparedness: Be prepared to handle any emergencies that may arise during transportation, following established protocols and ensuring the safety and well-being of residents.
Qualifications:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to assist residents with mobility needs
Compassionate and patient demeanor
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
Previous experience in a healthcare or senior living environment is a plus
