- Have a thorough understanding of educational programs and related activities
- Assist the Director of Education, the ED and the Board medical members in the development of topics and content to be addressed in the on-line and on-site education programs
- Assist in the planning and organizing of educational events, conferences, and programs
- Assist the Director Education in developing all necessary on-line and/or on-site education program materials
- Communicate effectively with faculty and coordinate logistics and deadlines as well as the timely receipt of education materials
- Assist with administrative tasks such as record-keeping, scheduling and reporting of educational activities
- Along with the Director of Education, serve as a liaison with the accrediting institution
- Assist in the preparation of applications for CME and CEU accreditation (continuing education credits for physicians and nurses)
- Work with Director of Education on program publicity, development of printed and online education materials, including brochures, guides, flyers, etc.
- Utilize Constant contact for audience development and communications
- Represent FWGBD to the public, members, and other stakeholders at conferences, meetings, and other events
- Assist the Director of Education and work closely with Senior Program/Event Coordinator on the development of the program and exhibition displays, handouts, AV requirements, etc.
- Coordinate exhibition displays, including the set up and tear down of events
- Ensure that fwgbd.org is a core Education tool, and is state-of-the-art, of the highest quality and current
- Work with the Director of Education and other staff as necessary to prepare and update the content
- Manage the technology company or consultant engaged to assist in developing functions or different components of the site
- Write effective headlines, body copy, and web content for FWGBD’s pages
- Place keywords appropriately in copy to gain the most search engine traffic
- Enlist input of our medical experts in adding resources to our Library
- Request the necessary permissions from publishers to include their articles and abstracts on our Website, and to distribute articles at medical and nursing meetings
- Assist the Director of Education in ensuring the library has comprehensive list of seminal articles, ground-breaking articles and the best of new research articles
- Manage FWGBD’s various social media channels, e.g., FWGBD’s website, Facebook, X, YouTube, LinkedIn accounts and other social and professional media accounts daily
- Organize and maintain, as back-up, files of all Education Programs—on-line and on-site offerings
- Take notes and maintain records to track project progress and accomplishments and ensure timelines and deliverables are being met for the Foundation’s Learning Action Networks
- Assist in improvement of the operational systems, processes and policies in support of organization’s mission
- Work with Membership Services and Database Manager, who manages the database, to ensure quality and currency of the user/registration database
- Contribute to the team effort; perform other duties as assigned and requested
- Master’s degree in public health, health education, sciences or related field preferred; 3-5 years of experience in health/non-profit sector
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) & MAC programs, Basic HTML, Canva and Adobe Photoshop a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be self-motivated and detail-oriented
- Demonstrated experience working in website management and social media management, Google Analytics, Facebook, X, YouTube, LinkedIn, Histograms, blogs and other social networking sites preferred
- Additional needed skills: excellent written, oral communication and e-communication; project management; exceptional organizing skills and time management; program development; analyzing education evaluation data, synthesizing information; experience in developing, writing successful proposals – foundation and federal - a plus.
- Part-time annual salary of $42,000.00 (24 hours per week).
