- Recruits’ applicants by attending college/job fairs at schools and businesses and by networking with community workforce resources to advance the Pueblo of Sandia as a prospective employer within the community.
- Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
- Coordinates the recruitment process and responds to employment questions from team members and applicants.
- Maintains a network of contacts and recruiting sources to recruit the best qualified candidates.
- Reviews resumes and credentials within applicant tracking system for required skills, experience, and knowledge in relation to position requirements.
- Performs searches for qualified candidates according to relevant job criteria, using computer databases, networking, internet recruiting resources, cold calls, media, data mining, and employee referrals.
- Provides complete, accurate, and inspiring information to candidates about the company and position.
- Refers selected applicants to hiring department manager/director for interview process.
- Performs background and reference checks on all applicants for employment.
- Facilitates the new hire paperwork process and schedules pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
- Extends offers of employment to selected candidates under the direction of the hiring managers and within the guidelines of the Pueblo of Sandia’s policy and procedures.
- Compiles statistical data for all hire actions; oversees HRIS applicant-tracking system for preparation and generation of employment activities reports.
- Conducts orientation sessions for screening committee/hiring supervisor to outline hiring responsibilities and employment policies and procedures.
- Assists with team member development training activities and new team member orientations, as required.
- Assists with the interview process, attending, and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
- Develops an effective pipeline of key talent, potentially available for immediate hire, as needed in succession planning.
- Establishes and maintains staffing requisition files to ensure compliance of recruitment and selection documentation.
- Reviews all new hire packets and Personnel Action Requests (PAR’s) for completion and accuracy before submitting to Talent Acquisition Manager for approval.
- Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility for all team members and are expected to report to work based upon the assigned schedule each day in accordance with the Attendance Policy for Pueblo of Sandia.

- Knowledge of recruitment and employment documentation principles, procedures, requirements, strategies, candidate sourcing, and techniques.
- Ability to analyze job requirements and ensure appropriate applicant selection criteria is being adhered to.
- Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart confidential information.
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
- Must have the ability to quickly learn systems, processes, and procedures.
- Demonstrated skills in PC applications, including word processing, spread sheets data bases, and HRIS systems
- Proficient with, or the ability to quickly learn Applicant Tracking Software, or other recruitment systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Ability to handle multiple activities, projects, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
- General understanding of human resources practices and administration.
- Ability to work harmoniously and professionally with team members and supervisors.
- Three (3) years of experience directly related to the Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the position..
- Must possess a valid, unrestricted New Mexico Driver’s Licence.
- Must be able to successfully pass a stringent background investigation.
- Will require a pre-employment and random drug screening.
- No or very little physical activity required.
- No or very little exposure to physical risk
