Following development and construction, Gotham’s in-house property management division seamlessly transitions into ongoing building and community management, operating vibrant and engaging communities in the neighborhoods it builds in.RESPONSIBILITIESAdminister and negotiate lease renewals and offers with current residents for optimal retention.Track Residential Lease Expirations and send out lease renewal reminders.Contribute to offering the best experience to prospects and residents at Gotham.Process apartment lease renewals for Gotham portfolio.Provide exceptional customer service to prospective/current renters while processing their applications.Process and evaluate various lease applications (initial lease, lease assignment, sublease, etc.) in timely and accurate manner that abides by all federal, state, local and company regulations.Verify accuracy and authenticity of all application information and supporting documentation.Communicate with prospect(s)’ employers, previous landlords and any other involved parties to obtain necessary documentation for verification of their lease application.Provide application status updates to prospective renters, resolve discrepancies or problems, and ensure quality customer service.Review and maintain accurate lease drafts and riders for initial and renewal leases.Provide administrative support to the leasing & administration team and the leasing director.Assist in audits when requested.Assist with special projects and duties as needed.REQUIREMENTSUnderstanding, appreciation, and commitment to the philosophy of Gotham.Excellent negotiation skillsStrong interpersonal skills and customer service skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent organizational, time management and planning skillsAbility to multi-task while upholding strong attention to detailInitiative and responsibility for follow through.Strong numerical and analytical problem-solving skillsAbility to utilize various computer programs, specifically Microsoft Suite, On-Site and Yardi.Knowledge of Rent Stabilization LawsBachelor’s degreeProficient in Microsoft SuitePrevious experience in residential property management or leasing, strongly preferred.Gotham is an equal opportunity employer.
