- Review of balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports which includes analyzing and explaining trends, costs, revenues, and financial metrics incurred to predict future revenues and expenses. Report organization’s finances to management.
- Prepares all journal entries, including payroll and general ledger account reconciliations.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements, governmental and internal surveys, and tax packages and filings.
- Assists in reporting and maintenance of the OneStream application and periodic data uploads for parent company reporting.
- Assist the Controller by ensuring compliance with GAAP, SOX, Treasury, and Marmon Standard Practice Policies through internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
- Provides financial analysis, with an emphasis on product margins, sales and order intake levels and freight costs.
- Audits accounts to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations; coordinates with internal and outside auditors and provides needed information for multiple periodic audits.
- Supports developing monthly, quarterly, and annual forecast data to include narrative for differences to prior forecast, budget, and prior year.
- Administrator for Expensify electronic expense reporting platform.
- Maintain fixed asset files and lead periodic internal audit of fixed assets.
- Compile and review information for customer credit limits.
- Create and distribute 1099’s annually.
- Oversee application of Accounts Receivable and monitor aging, to support timely collection on accounts.
- Oversee entry of Accounts Payable; set-up new suppliers and administer physical payment of vendors.
- Assist with annual physical inventory audit.
- Other projects and duties as required.
- Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting or Finance.
- Five years Accounting and Finance experience required.
- CPA valued.
- Ability to meet competing deadlines and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of inventory management/valuation required.
- Original Equipment Manufacturer experience beneficial.
- Knowledge of Sage Fixed Asset System or ability to learn Asset Management System
- Knowledge of SysPro and MS D365 or ability to learn Management System.
- Ability to effectively communicate, in writing and orally.
- Ability to analyze information and/or use logic to solve problems.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Expensify, and OneStream reporting system.
