
Senior Instrumentation & Control Engineer - Water/wastewater

- Create relationships with clients in the Northern California area and act as a liaison between the local design team, client and remote design teams
- Manage and coordinate marketing, planning, design and construction phase services for automation, instrumentation, control and SCADA projects for water and wastewater utilities.
- Lead execution and take overall responsibility for I&C design projects as well as coordinate I&C engineering efforts for large multi-discipline projects
- Provide local interface by attending client and contractor meetings, performing field investigations, attending factory acceptance testing and helping to resolve I&C client and construction issues.
- Monitor and control project schedule and budgets and assist with proposals and presentations in response to sales opportunities
- Support multiple Water and Wastewater and Hydro engineering projects with advanced engineering solutions and technical challenges.
- The successful candidate will possess a mix of excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated management capabilities, I&C design experience, and broad I&C technical knowledge.
- 10 years' experience in instrumentation, control, and automation design consulting
- 7 years' experience in water/wastewater industry
- 5 years' experience in project management and business development.
- Experienced with control system component selection and application for distributed control or SCADA systems such as Allen-Bradley PLC, Modicon Schneider Electric, Emerson Ovation, ABB 800xA, or similar.
- Experienced with network diagrams, instrument device schedules, Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&ID), instrument schedules, input/output lists, instrument installation details, instrument loop diagrams, control narratives and technical specifications.
- Experienced with coordinating multi-discipline workflow process to meet budget and schedule goals.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving, leadership and team management abilities.
- Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing
- Minimum of 8 years related work experience
