Job Category: GeneralistJob Description:Job Summary:The Tax Manager, Global Tax Outsourcing (GTO) delivers exceptional client service to BDO's fast expanding client base. The GTO Manager will work as part of a dedicated team, taking responsibility for controlling a number of clients' outsourced service lines, working directly with clients and the supporting team under Partner/Director or Sr. Manager's supervision. Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects at the executive level with partnership from a variety of teams. Plans, sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors project completion. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, best practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks as they relate to project plans and cross functional support. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Experience with executive presentations and project is a must.Job Duties:
  • Professionally communicates and partners with cross-functional teams for project timeliness and support. Ensures that excellent services is adhered to in all dealings with clients, employees, and BDO's Local Country Providers (LCP's) and the required Service levels are achieved
  • Builds and manages at a global strategic level, strong relationships with clients through all manner of communication inclusive of regular visits to client sites, and, as needed, to BDO regional offices/team sites
  • Establishes and maintains client account plans and ensures that action steps are implemented to achieve results in client satisfaction, retention and expansion of services or countries
  • Manages projects across all lines of business needs. Including but not limited to: financial projects, inter-country projects, etc.

  • Learns organizational systems and evaluates the need for resources appropriately.
  • Consistently manage time, budget and resources for all projects ensuring delivery dates, identification and resolution of issues, adherence / mindfulness of project scope and the impacts of changes
  • Develop and nurture strong, collaborative, trusting relationships among the project's leadership, team members, and key partners. Manages a team of professionals based on client scope of work in NYC Office and through the BDO Partner Network around the world
  • Expertly communicate to all team/campaign members ensuring knowledge of project scope, responsibilities, and changes
  • Identifies trends, best practices, and opportunities for payroll consulting, written analysis and recommendations for cost effective client solutions
  • Acts as a client advocate and strategic resource for overall client issues in the areas of billing, legal, policy, country tax issues, payroll management operations, and systems
  • Work with BDO Partner to prepares year end client review and analysis as well as monthly reports and quarterly reviews as required
  • Manages Risk & Compliance in line with BDO USA & Client policies. Ensures team compliance with BDO standards, client policy, monitors data accuracy and integrity
  • Develops Requests for Proposals (RFP), for account renegotiations, including fee structure and presentation
  • Develops processes and procedures within the team and region which maximize productivity, ensure clear communication and efficiency and effect consistent service delivery
  • Develops and implements efficiency plans including both off-shoring and near shoring strategies and activities
  • Works with the Implementation team during execution plan for new accounts ensuring that communication bridges, policies and procedures and processes are in place and followed

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Education:
  • Bachelor degree, required
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance or other relevant field. preferred
Experience:
  • Four (4) or more years of related work experience. required
  • Experience in a professional services firm, required
  • Negotiation experience, preferred
License/Certifications:
  • CPA certification, Attorney (admitted to practice in a U.S. jurisdiction), or Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent (“EA”) (or the equivalent of one of these designations), preferred
Software:
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, preferred
  • Proficient in Sharepoint and GFR, preferred
Language:
  • Proficiency in more than one language preferred
Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Excellent organization/computer skills with the ability to work on various projects simultaneously
  • Good judgment and strong reasoning skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communicate skills
  • Proficient in IT applications e.g. Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.National Range: $79,800 - $168,000
Maryland Range: $79,800 - $168,000
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $79,800 - $168,000
