What you'll do...Position: Senior Software EngineerJob Location: 1375 Crossman Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94089Duties: Confer with product managers, project managers, and engineers to design large-scale Generative AI software systems. Modify existing software and services to correct errors, adapt to new demands, and improve performance. Partner with other engineering and product teams to build cross-functional products and features. Own feature delivery for conversational AI systems from technical design through production launch. Author and update Large Language Model (LLM) prompts leveraging the latest prompt-engineering patterns including React and Chain-of-Thought prompting. Design and author test cases ensuring accuracy of LLM-based solutions leveraging LLM-based and traditional validators. Design, develop, and modify LLM-based software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and consequences of designs. Evaluate various LLMs for applicability, safety, and cost across a number of technical use cases. Using automated methods and manual review, analyze product outputs for efficacy, accuracy, and safety relative to program benchmarks and targets. Research new Generative AI technologies and techniques and present learnings to internal and external groups. Participate in code and prompt review and pair programming. Design, build, and deploy software for distributed microservices with specific business logic to production with continuous integration frameworks and event driven frameworks for our eCommerce platform. Design, build, and Generative AI tooling solutions using the Python programming language. Develop service-level and business-level metrics to monitor microservices and product health. Develop protections and safeguards in Generative AI solutions against malicious and fraudulent users. Interface with external development partners to accelerate roadmap delivery.Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 1 year of experience in software engineering or related area; OR Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 3 years of experience in software engineering or related area.Skills required: Experience coding in object-oriented and functional programming languages C#, Python, and Java. Experience coding and building applications using .NET framework. Experience using NoSQL databases including Cosmos DB, Azure Table Storage, and Redis for flexible and scalable data storage solutions. Experience implementing APIs using GraphQL for data retrieval. Experience using Azure or Google cloud platforms for scalable solutions. Experience using containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes. Experience with software testing methodologies and tools to ensure code quality and monitoring using Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, and Postman. Experience with front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for web development. Experience with distributed streaming data processing and real time analytics. Experience configuring or implementing build and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.Salary Range: $117,000/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
