- Work with employees to improve their skills and job knowledge.
- Set-up, maintain, and troubleshoot processing equipment in Department 27.
- Reports to the Department Supervisor.
- Promote a positive and safe work environment.
2. Ensure production lines run safely and efficiently, minimizing downtime.
- Address issues related to hard stuff, silicate, moisture, and rework particle size.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections.
- Assist with equipment changeovers and maintain various equipment.
3. Prepare Set-Up Sheets to ensure smooth operation.
4. Ensure effective material movement within the department.
5. Track and control operational efficiency.
6. Maintain and ensure proper use of tooling, equipment, and supplies.
7. Detect and address quality non-conformances.
8. Assist with maintaining inventory of chemicals used in manufacturing.
9. Ensure safety, cleanliness, and quality in the work area.Equipment Proficiency
- Understand the operation and function of all equipment used in the D27 Chemical Mix Department.
- Proficiency in using front-end loaders, industrial vehicles, power sweepers, overhead cranes, and standard mechanical tools.
- Familiarity with various procedures, including training, handling non-conforming material, special order procedures, quality rejection systems, and more.
- Understand and contribute to the company's Quality Policy.
- Follow quality procedures and specifications.
- Develop or revise operational standards and ensure compliance.
- Maintain good safety practices and a clean work environment.
- Understand and follow the company's EHS Policy.
- Be aware of OSHA and EPA regulations.
- Promote EHS awareness and follow safe operating procedures.
- Notify relevant personnel of any safety hazards or equipment issues.
- Follow best safety practices, EHS policies, and OSHA requirements.
- Understand and reduce the environmental impact of operations, follow EPA regulations, and Title V control requirements.
- Know the location of EHS procedures and safety data sheets and report any safety hazards or equipment issues.
- Follow the PPE policy, including the use of respirators and other protective gear as required.
- High school degree or equivalent required.
- Knowledge of production processes, equipment, and human resource requirements.
- Self-motivated, safety and quality conscious.
- Work dependably with minimal supervision.
- Ability to lift at least 100 lbs. and perform strenuous work in confined spaces.
- Experience with operations in the Process Chemical Departments.
- Must be proficient in the use of:
- Front End Loader - On The Job Training.
- Industrial Vehicle - EHS641 3. Industrial Power Sweeper - EHS641 & On the Job Training.
- Over-Head Crane - EHS644.
- Standard Mechanical Tools - On Job Training.
- Training as directed by the Operations Manager.
- Reference specific documents for minimum and safety training requirements.
