Job Summary:The Handicap Coordinator will review workers' compensation claims/medical records to identify pre-existing conditions that may have delayed recovery. Gather all supporting medical documentation and submit with necessary forms/applications to the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation.We offer employees a range of perks including but not limited to:

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
  • Review medical records of workers' compensation claims to identify pre-existing conditions that may have delayed recovery
  • File the necessary paperwork with the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation
  • Review outcomes with employers
  • File appeals and Hearing Preparation
  • Maintaining system notes and diaries
  • Assist with mail distribution
Qualifications
  • Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Detail oriented
  • Knowledge of medical terminology strongly preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Excellent customer service and telephone skills
Education and Experience
  • Experience in Ohio Workers' Compensation or medical field preferred
  • High School Diploma
Physical Demands
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to lift and move 25 lbs.
