The Department of Global Engagement is seeking a Program Coordinator II who will work collaboratively with departmental leadership to plan, develop, and/or implement programs that support campus internationalization. This position will coordinate events and initiatives that impact students, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders, and that highlight Global Engagement’s reach across the university. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in higher education and/or international education with a strong understanding of program planning, development, and implementation.What You Need to KnowSalary: $52,000/annuallyCover Letter/Resume: A cover letter and resume will assist us in our review of your application materials. These can be uploaded on the application under CV/Resume.Essential Duties and TasksProgram Planning, Development, and CoordinationCollaborates with departmental staff to coordinate programs that support internationalization goals.Conducts needs assessments and gathers input from stakeholders to inform planning processes and outcomes.Plans, organizes, and executes events such as International Education Week, faculty development programs, workshops, awards ceremonies, board meetings, and international delegation visits.Supports initiatives such as global learning programs, sustainability efforts, and international partnerships.Coordinates logistics including venue booking, catering, marketing, and registration.Serves as the primary point of contact for event participants and partners.Facilitates collaboration across departments and units.Communication and OutreachWorks with departmental communications manager to develop promotional materials and manage communications for programs and events.Prepares reports, presentations, and updates for internal and external audiences.Manages shared email account and responds to inquiries and provides information about Global Engagement opportunities.Assists communications manager with the development of monthly email newsletters for faculty, staff, and other audiences.Operational SupportAssists with administrative functions as directed.Creates, maintains, and manages program budgets and purchases.Secures funding from external sources through sponsorships and grants as needed.Maintains accurate records of program activities, participation, and outcomes.Represents the department at meetings, events, and on committees as needed.Assessment and EvaluationCollects and analyzes data to evaluate the effectiveness of programs and events.Prepares summaries and recommendations for improvement.Ensures all programming is aligned with departmental and institutional goals and priorities.QualificationsRequired Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree.Four years of event planning, program management, or other related experience.Ability to load and transport materials needed for hosting events and programs, which may include lifting and setting up heavy equipment.Preferred QualificationsExperience working in a higher education environment.Experience working in international education.Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of the Microsoft 365 suite of applications and event management tools.Ability to work cooperatively with others.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Highly organized with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and coordinate logistics.Ability to effectively plan, coordinate and evaluate events and initiatives, as well as identify issues and implement effective solutions.Capable of taking initiative and work independently under general supervision.Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.Why Texas A&M University?We are a prestigious university with strong traditions, Core Values, and a community of caring and collaboration.
