- Maintain all building equipment in good condition
- Perform and document repairs for preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance actions with guestrooms
- Display basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in the following categories: refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, mechanical and kitchen equipment.
- Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
- Establish and maintain a clean safe and organized work area.
- Provide the highest quality of service.
- Perform maintenance and repairs to the common areas and Guest Rooms, Electrical systems such as lighting systems, Mechanical Plant, etc., as needed.
- Perform basic trouble shooting and repair of Central and Guest Room HVAC equipment.
- Respond in a timely manner to all work orders.
- Practice safety standards always and be alert to hazardous conditions. Report or correct any hazardous conditions immediately.
- Be a team Leader
- Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work.
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
- Excellent trouble shooting skills.
- Familiarity with Massachusetts HVAC, Electrical and Refrigeration codes.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude in tow or more engineering disciplines, excelling in HVAC, trouble shooting and system work.
- Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
- Knowledge of standard practices in maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical components
- Able to work as a team as well as in individual settings
- Availability to work all shifts including weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed for coverage.
- At least 3 years’ experience with HVAC-R and Commercial equipment repair and refrigeration equipment
- High School diploma, general education degree or international equivalent required.
- Trade school training is preferred.
- Universal refrigerant EPA Certification Preferred.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
- Fluency of the English language is required (read, write, speak)
- Must be able to listen to, read and/or write instructions, memos, short correspondences, and messages
