- Develop and articulate the product vision working closely with business partners, aligning it with Ford's broader digital transformation goals. Products are focused on using AI to improve the effectiveness of the Sales & Services organization.
- Empathize and deeply understand your target audience and personas to define the right problem to solve with AI.
- Define and drive the product roadmap, ensuring it reflects the evolving needs of the business, technological advancements, and market trends.
- Prioritize product features and enhancements based on customer feedback, data-driven insights, and business impact.
- Focus on Product Market Fit by maintaining a balance between business viability, user desirability and technical feasibility.
- Define quantitative and qualitative measures of success that drive value to Ford's core objectives.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across various business units to understand their needs and translate them into product features.
- Manage relationships with senior leadership, providing regular updates on progress, challenges, and opportunities.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and business units, ensuring clear communication and alignment of goals.
- Champion an iterative development approach with our business partners, driving delivery of Minimum Viable Products and continuous improvement through careful and deliberate prioritization.
- Engage with your target audience in understanding their jobs to be done and needs leading to high quality product development.
- Lead cross-functional product teams (AI engineering, software engineering, design, data engineering, etc.) in the design, development, and deployment of the AI products.
- Work hands-on with the development team to prioritize, plan and deliver AI solutions that deliver business outcomes.
- Ensure the solution is scalable, secure, and reliable.
- Drive the integration of AI/ML capabilities into customer and business facing applications.
- Collaborate with the product team to define specifications, requirements and acceptance criteria for deliverables
- Work with Product Designers to ensure timely delivery of designs and assets to the development team.
- Create assets to guide product development work (Discovery, Framing & Scoping Documents, PRDs, Journey Maps, opportunity trees, user stories)
- Maintain an actionable backlog of user stories for development team.
- Define, track and analyze key product metrics and KPIs to inform product strategy, prioritize features and drive continuous improvement and business outcomes.
- Design and implement user onboarding and training programs to increase adoption.
- Gather and analyze user feedback to continuously improve the solutions usability, performance, and feature set.
- Develop documentation, guides, and best practices to support users in effectively leveraging the solution for their needs.
- Conduct product experiments, user interviews and other validation techniques to gather feedback and product insights.
- Leverage analytical methods to understand and analyze user experience and adoption.
- Stay informed about the latest trends and technologies in AI and cloud computing to drive innovation.
- Encourage a culture of continuous improvement within the team, fostering innovation and experimentation to keep the solution at the forefront of industry standards.
- Mentor and train other PMs to help them learn agile/XP methods, product management techniques and build skills.
- Actively participate in nurturing the Product Management Community of Practice
- Help innovate and iterate on agile PM processes and share learnings.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field or a combination of education and equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years with progressive responsibilities in an agile software development environment.
- 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager with responsibilities to include defining product vision, strategy, product roadmaps and building and managing backlogs and similar.
- Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field or an MBA
- Leadership experience
- Experience collaborating directly with Agile software methodologies (Scrum, eXtreme Programming, Kanban)
- Skilled at defining and prioritizing product features.
- Strong leadership and communication skills and the ability to teach others.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others and navigate complex decision making.
- Ability to collaborate well with engineers, designers, and business partners.
- Previous success delivering a product to market with an Agile development team, and ongoing development and support of production applications.
- Curious about new technologies and a demonstrated history of continuous learning mindset.
- Practice in Lean/Lean Startup thinking, human-centered product development and Agile Software development
- Have exposure to lightweight product development methods such as user story mapping and/ or rapid prototyping
