The Concrete Foreman’s primary responsibility is to support the Superintendent and Project Manager in the successful completion of assigned projects. The Concrete Foreman participates in overseeing job site safety, quality, project scheduling, and communications with the project management team on field and constructability issues. Travel is required. This position reports to the Project Superintendent.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all activietes pertaining to concrete preparation, placement, installation, finishing and curing
  • Ensure that formwork is erected and supporeted in a safe and effective manner
  • Inspect concrete finish upon removal of forms and correct any defects to required standards
  • Resolve problems that may affect project quality and completion
  • Ensure Sloan Security Group’s standards of quality and safety are adhered to by assertively championing Sloan’s safety culture to project team and subcontractors
  • Work collaboratively with Project Manager, project team members, and field
  • Represent Sloan Security Group in a professional manner
  • Coordinate tasks and schedules for crew members
  • Supervise workers throughout the shift, ensuring safety, appropriate work stoppages, and organization
  • Resolve problems with projects, materials, and workers as they arise.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Five years of construction experience, including experience in a leadership or supervisory position
  • ACI finishing certificate desired, but not required
  • Detailed knowledge of concrete construction procedures and OSHA guidelines
  • Experience with blueprint reading, concrete finishing, and managing crews
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
Key competencies: Initiative, communication, teamwork, and dependability. Must be able to read plans and specifications.
Technical skills: Knowledge of concrete formwork systems, concrete mix designs and add mixtures, concrete placing methods, finishing and curing.PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Walk, climb stairs, sit, and stand.
  • Talk and hear at normal levels.
  • See with close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and have the ability to adjust focus.
  • Reach with hands and arms.
  • Use hands and fingers to operate tools and machinery.
  • Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Complete Layout from either survey or plans.
  • Set elevations from plans or given elevations from survey.
  • Assist Project managers with RFI’s and propose new field direction/plan to complete scope.
  • Able to lead employees and subcontractors.
  • Ability to multitask.
