Overview:The Account Assistant - Seasonal position is responsible for daily reconciliation of payments as installations are complete. This position works closely with The Container Store Installation Services (TCSIS) Customer Service Team, our Customer Solutions Department (CSD), our Stores and TCS Installers. This is a full-time, hourly, seasonal position with potential for conversion. Must be based in Elmhurst, IL or the surrounding area and willing to work onsite. This is not a remote position.Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Reconciles daily credit card reports and checks for installation payments
Assists in collections, invoice adjustments and refunds for TCSIS
Communications with customers, installers and store to resolve accounting issues
Responsible for timely responses to shared email communication
Follows up on communication with Contained Home Organizers on accounting procedures
Partners with management on TCS Closets payments
Partners with business-to-business sales for invoicing and collecting
Provides reporting to TCSIS Managers, the Accounting Department and Contained Home Coordinators
Consistently arrives promptly to work the assigned schedule
Responsible for maintaining discretion related to all confidential/sensitive company and customer information
Performs all other assigned duties
Experience and Skills Required
College degree preferred
Experience in customer service or operations field, preferred; retail experience a plus
Strong computer skills: proficiency in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher and knowledge of Excel
Good analytical and problem solving skills
Is committed to working scheduled hours and has the flexibility to work additional hours based on changing business needs
Knowledge of industry business and passion for following trends in the industry
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, at all levels within and outside the organization
Ability to quickly separate the mission-critical tasks from the lower priority tasks; focuses on the most value-added projects of the day or week
