This position will be located in Huntsville, Alabama and will support the Sentinel program.The successful candidate will be a motivated software developer who is comfortable with both front and back-end programming as well as identifying COTS candidates. Full Stack Developers are responsible for developing both front and backend applications. Full Stack Developers will be required to see out a project from conception to final product, requiring good organizational skills and attention to detail.The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:
  • Developing front end Software applications.
  • Developing back-end Software applications.
  • Creating servers and databases for functionality.
  • Ensuring responsiveness of applications.
  • Working alongside graphic designers for web design features.
  • Designing and developing APIs.
  • Staying abreast of developments in programming languages.
  • Evaluation of COTS products that may contribute to the end product
The successful candidate will:
  • Communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.
  • Develop technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
  • Perform work without appreciable direction.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.Job Qualifications:
  • Associate Software Engineer : 1 Year of experience with a Bachelor’s in related field of study or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree
  • Software Engineer : 2 Years of experience with Bachelor’s in related field of study; 0 years with Masters or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree
  • Active DoD Secret clearance - a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 6 years.
  • US Citizenship with Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP)
  • Proficient in C, C++ or Assembly
  • Thorough understanding of Operating Systems such as VxWorks and Linux.
  • An understanding in hardware architecture.
  • Hands-on experience working with a Real Time Operating System (RTOS)
#SentinelsoftwarePrimary Level Salary Range: $70,600.00 - $106,000.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $85,400.00 - $128,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
