- Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing administration of U.S. employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, wellness, and voluntary benefits across USA including Puerto Rico.
- Analyze plan performance and industry trends to make data-driven recommendations that enhance competitiveness, cost-efficiency, and employee value.
- Manage annual benefits renewal and open enrollment processes, including strategy development, employee communication, and system updates.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for benefits escalations and complex employee inquiries.
- Oversee the administration of all LOA programs (FMLA, ADA, state-specific leaves, personal leaves, parental leave, etc.), ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Manage relationships with third-party leave administrators, ensuring timely and accurate processing, strong service levels, and seamless employee experience.
- Provide guidance and training to HR Business Partners and managers on LOA policies, accommodations, and return-to-work processes.
- Monitor LOA metrics, identify trends, and recommend improvements to optimize program effectiveness and minimize risk.
- Ensure all benefit and leave programs comply with applicable laws and regulations (e.g., ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA).
- Partner with Legal, Payroll, HRIS, and external advisors to maintain plan documentation, filings (e.g., 5500s), and audit readiness.
- Maintain benefits-related policies, SOPs, and employee-facing content to ensure clarity and consistency.
- Lead vendor relationships for U.S. benefits and leave administration, including RFPs, performance reviews, and contract negotiations.
- Support the Leader of Total Rewards by having oversight of the benefits budget and forecasting, including regular tracking and analysis of costs, contributions, and utilization.
- Develop and execute communication and education strategies to enhance employee understanding and engagement with benefits offerings.
- Support well-being initiatives that promote employee health, resilience, and productivity.
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience.
- Prefer a degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field; Master’s degree or HR certifications (e.g., CEBS, PHR, SHRM-SCP) preferred.
- Prefer 8+ years of progressive experience in U.S. employee benefits, with at least 2 years in a people leadership or senior-level individual contributor role.
- Deep knowledge of U.S. benefits regulations, best practices, and program administration.
- Experience managing LOA programs, including vendor oversight and compliance.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage complex programs, influence stakeholders, and deliver employee-centric solutions.
- Proficiency with HRIS and benefits platforms (Workday, ServiceNow, Benifex, etc.) preferred.

The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location.
