The facilities maintenance team is a fast-paced environment, supporting the warehouse and corporate offices alike with, daily maintenance of the building, and subport Operation to achieve daily goals. This team sets the example when it comes to being self-driven and works diligently to accomplish daily required tasks.About the RoleWe are looking for a Building Maintenance Technician, or Facilities Maintenance Technician, that is responsible for completing maintenance tasks of equipment and preserve the quality of a facility. Their duties include conducting routine maintenance checks, and taking inventory of tools, and spare parts. Technician also maintains and repairs all building equipment.Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Service and repair all warehouse equipment and provide required documentation for each service performed.
- Performs plumbing, electrical, concrete and any other carpentry duties necessary for the maintenance of the building.
- Perform preventative maintenance for facilities, light fixtures, equipment, HVAC, and generators.
- Audit and monitor the vendors' work, monitor BMS systems, lighting, fire extinguishers, generators, etc. Run diagnostic test to ensure system functionality.
- Continually verify all inspection logs are accurate and up to date.
- Track and report any issues. Monitor and report on project progress.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized Facility.
- Complete monthly and annual preventative maintenance for the Facility.
- Self-starter capabilities to manage and prioritize multiple different projects concurrently.
- Other functions, projects and tasks as designated by the Facility Manager.
- Educational requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent. License or certificates from trade school. 3 to 5 years' experience with Facilities Maintenance
- Construction skills such as carpentry, painting, conveyor, plumbing, forklifts, welding, electrical high and low voltage, and HVAC.
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve all building equipment and maintenance issues.
- Must be able to identify parts and supplies needed to complete task, record and track parts, and complete work on schedule.
- Physical strength and dexterity to lift, move and handle equipment Stamina to deal with long hours standing or walking.
- Strong verbal and written communication for discussing maintenance issues.
