Job SummaryA Cafe Barista is in charge of setting and clearing tables at a dining establishment to provide restaurant patrons with a clean and tidy environment. Their duties include removing used dishes, re-setting silverware and filling beverages for diners. We are looking for talent to work our flexible weekly work shift of 32 hours a week with Breakfast and Lunch shifts that start 5:30am to 1:00pm including some weekends. Cash Handling experience is preferred as well as experience working with alcohol.ResponsibilitiesGreeting customers in a friendly manner and taking food and drink ordersPreparing and serving beverages, ranging from simple to elaborate onesPreparing and serving food items such as soups, sandwiches and pastriesAnswering customers’ questions about menu choicesPromoting and recommending menu options to customersTaking payment from customersMaintaining inventory and equipment by cleaning, troubleshooting and scheduling repairsKeeping the work environment sanitary and organizedEvaluating and modifying processes to improve efficiency and quality of serviceRemoving used plates, glasses, cutlery and napkins from tables after diners are done eatingReplacing cutlery and glassware in anticipation of new dinersInteract with guests in a friendly/fast mannerClear, clean, and prepare tablesBringing out meal orders if waitstaff are busyEscalate guest service issues to management if you are unable to resolveEnsure guests are satisfied during their meal serviceOther duties as assignedQualificationsListen well and communicate in a professional and friendly mannerFocus on customer satisfactionPractice basic safety procedures with the rep concerning handling hot beveragesBe efficient and organizedBuild good relationships with customersMaintain a clean work environmentKeep supplies replenished to minimize downtimeHigh school diploma or GED preferredMinimum of 6 months of server experienceExperience in hospitality preferredPossess basic math skills and cash-handlingAbility and flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidaysAbout Wurzak Hotel Group:At Wurzak Hotel Group we take pride in being recognized as an Employer of Choice in the Hospitality Industry.
