Description :POSITION SUMMARY:Provides ongoing clinical and/or case management services to a diverse Akin client population including specialized treatment services in a variety of settings conducts intake, assessment, and diagnosis. Has access to protected healthcare information (PHI) or confidential identifiable information (CII), both paper and electronic, as necessary, to perform related job duties and responsibilities.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Conducts initial client screening intake and assessment
  • Assesses and determines client diagnosis/service need and develops treatment/service plans and/or makes appropriate community referral
  • Implements treatment/service plan using a variety of therapeutic/educational interventions in a variety of locations and settings
  • Performs treatment/service evaluations and follow-up
  • Performs routine administrative duties associated with a clinical setting
  • Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with appropriate community resources
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Understanding of various treatment principles and interventions
  • Knowledge of child, adolescent, and family development
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Must possess strong human relations skills to communicate and work effectively within a culturally diverse work environment and community

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:This job is performed in a professional office environment. The following list is representative of the work environment employees encounter while performing the essential functions of this job:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work or related field is required, plus 2 to 4 years’ clinical practice with children, youth, and families that was gained under the supervision of a mental health professional recognized by the state of Washington
  • Required Agency Affiliated Counselor Credential (obtained after ) Or, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate credential is acceptable.
  • Proof of CPR and First Aid Certification is required within 30 days
  • A one-step Mantoux TB skin test prior to start of For those who have previously tested positive, documented proof of treatment from a doctor, or a negative chest x-ray must be provided
  • HIV/AIDS and blood borne pathogens training required within 30 days
  • A valid driver’s license and a favorable driving record, with no more than three violations within the past three years

The target starting pay for this position is $21.72 - $31.03,typically within the first half of the range. Actual offers will be based on individual qualifications relevant to the role and will not take an applicant’s pay history into account.
