If you are ready to join an international company with talent around the world, and want to make a real impact, we want you on our team.What You'll Do:In collaboration with Plant Manager, The Engineering and Maintenance Manager leads both the improvement engineering functions and the day-to-day maintenance operations in the Wilmington facility. The role provides continuity between production, quality, logistics, scheduling, utility and maintenance areas by leading his teams to continuously make process improvements while improving the day to day operations of the facility. The role is also responsible for maintaining the entire facility and is the primary contact of all vendors outside of the building including the building ownerWhat We're Looking For:
  • Lead and exemplify a culture where ‘safety is a core value’ is a true belief and ensure safety accountability across the organization.
  • Provide leadership for operational excellence programs, including continuous improvement, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the plant maintenance and project engineering teams
  • Provide leadership in a sustainable preventative/predictive maintenance and reliability improvement programs
  • Oversee talent management and employee development and promote constructive employee relations. Work closely with manufacturing to prioritize maintenance work to meet production demand
  • Lead planners/schedules in development of a daily maintenance schedule to meet production demands while minimizing production down time
  • Responsible for repair and maintenance of machines, tools, and equipment in the manufacturing operations
  • Oversee maintenance of the entire facility, including but not limited to, HVAC systems, plant utilities and operations.
  • Ensure best type of repairs and the most cost-effective means of completing a maintenance repair are used
  • Create and maintain critical spares stores inventory
  • Work closely with the Plant Manager to support development of the plant project list and the annual capital plan to ensure the highest priority projects are being worked on
  • Evaluate engineering requests and assign approved requests to internal project engineers or obtain necessary engineering resources to complete projects
  • Ensure most effective technology and best engineering practices are used to complete improvement projects so that they meet the intent of the project while also meeting all regulatory, corporate and plant standards
  • Oversee and coordinate regular plant shutdowns with production and scheduling
  • Develop and oversee and responsible for the facility, maintenance and capital budgets.
  • Other Duties include:
  • Provide technical and engineering support for efficient troubleshooting and problem-solving activities to maximize efficiencies and limit downtime
  • Participate in the creation and safe execution of the annual capital plan.
  • Assist with external, internal, plant wide and departmental HSES and Quality assessments and audits.
  • Report all accidents, injuries, spills, releases, near misses and suggestions immediately to the HSES, HR and/or Plant Manager.
Skills That Make a Difference:
  • BS in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited college/university
  • Minimum 5 years of maintenance and engineering experience in plant operations
  • Knowledge and experience in chemical manufacturing processes
  • Experience in facility management
  • Experienced leader
  • Excellent interpersonal, motivational and organizational skills.
