- Diagnose issues of diverse scope around design, field performance, reliability, and manufacturing test yield of existing RF products. Use formal failure analysis and investigation methods to identify root causes, propose corrective actions, test and verify proposed actions, and implement the actions. Provide input to customer communications using reports and presentations.
- Support existing products and design derivative products to specifications, cost, budget, schedule, and quality goals.
- Create and maintain project documents such as Product Requirements, Test Plans, Product Specifications, Bills of Materials.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams, including Product Marketing/Management, Manufacturing, Regulatory Compliance, Global Support, Supply Chain, Quality, Technical Service Organization, and Field Application Engineering.
- Define project scope, develop engineering plans and milestones, and execute/implement/report to achieve corporate and customer objectives.
- Provide direction to engineering technicians and engineers related to project work.
- Follow and enforce key engineering procedures and company processes, including the ECO process, Copy Exact and Product Development Process.
- Mix of a standard office environment utilizing standard office equipment, engineering lab, and/or clean room 90% of the time.
- Must be able to travel approximately 10% of the time. Travel may involve both international and domestic travel to remote sites, customers, and vendors.
- Includes working directly with high power electrical systems in a laboratory environment.
- Broad technical knowledge of components and circuitry used in electronic equipment and embedded systems. Examples include DC and AC circuits, digital and analog circuit functions and stability, worst-case stress and tolerance stack-up analysis, digital hardware and architecture fundamentals, test and measurement systems, and electrical/safety regulatory compliance.
- Strong organizational and communications skills, both written and verbal. Comfortable creating slide decks and presenting information to technical and non-technical external customers and internal company personnel.
- Experience in supporting testing and troubleshooting using common lab equipment such as Vector Network Analyzers, Common Hand Tools, Oscilloscopes, Basic Soldering Skills, Function Generators, LCR's, DMM's, etc.
- Ability to learn and use professional concepts appropriate to engineering, including analytical methods, computer aided analysis and design tools, diagnostic instruments and test equipment, lab skills appropriate to design, and selecting appropriate components and materials for designs.
- Basic programming or scripting skills, such as MATLAB and Python.
- Ability to solve complex technical problems with minimal guidance and self-manage to deliver on commitments.
- 3-4 years of previous experience working in Engineering.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Candidates with degrees in science and other engineering disciplines with relevant experience will be considered.
