Job Category: ResearchJob Description:What makes this role important at Ipsos?The Syndicated Solutions Group at Ipsos is seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Thought Leadership & Insights Activation. This is a high-profile, client-facing leadership role that will serve as the public "face" and chief storyteller for the group. The VP will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive thought leadership strategy that showcases the power and breadth of our diverse syndicated products focused in Consumption Tracking, Media Content, Market Trends, and other point solutions. Clients span across Media owners, Brands/Advertisers, and Advertising agencies.This strategic position moves beyond traditional research execution, focusing on activating our rich data and insights in the market. The ideal candidate is a master storyteller and a research expert who will create and manage our editorial calendar, lead engaging webinars and events, write influential thought pieces, and serve as a trusted advisor to our most strategic clients. You will be instrumental in elevating the group's visibility, driving client engagement, and reinforcing Ipsos's reputation as a premier source for understanding critical market and societal trends.While you will not have direct reports, you will be a key leader who collaborates with and draws upon the expertise of our research, sales, and marketing teams to achieve your objectives.What you can expect to be doing:Thought Leadership & Content Strategy:
  • Design and execute a comprehensive annual editorial and marketing events calendar, identifying compelling themes and narratives that leverage insights from across the group's multiple syndicated products
  • Author and oversee the creation of high impact thought leadership content, including presentations, white papers, in-depth reports, POVs, and articles for industry publications
  • Act as the lead presenter and primary spokesperson for the group at internal and external events, including hosting webinars, speaking at industry conferences, and delivering keynote presentations
Client Engagement & Insights Activation:
  • Lead strategic insights conversations with key accounts, acting as a senior advisor to help clients connect our research to their most pressing business challenges.
  • Foster deep, lasting relationships with key clients, actively soliciting feedback to inform content strategy and product development. Help to ensure needs are being met and adaptations are made to improve for the future.
  • Translate complex research findings into clear, actionable insights and strategic recommendations that demonstrate undeniable value to our clients.
Research & Methodological Leadership:
  • Serve as a leading voice on the methodology of the group's syndicated studies, ensuring the application of best practices and the highest standards of research quality.
  • Liaise with research leadership, operations, and data science teams to provide strategic guidance on survey design, sampling, data quality, and advanced analytics.
  • Confidently articulate the nuances and strengths of our research methodologies to both technical and non-technical audiences, including clients, prospects, and industry bodies.
Marketing & Commercial Collaboration:
  • Partner closely with the local and global Ipsos marketing teams to guide the development of all necessary collateral to support the thought leadership agenda, including infographics, presentation templates, sales materials, and case studies.
  • Work in tight collaboration with the commercial team to support new business development and strategic account growth by providing expert-level content and presentations.
  • Ensure seamless integration between the thought leadership agenda and the commercial goals of the Syndicated Solutions Group.
This might be the job for you if you have:
  • 10+ years' experience including significant, progressive experience in syndicated market research, insights, or a related field
  • Technical Expertise: Deep and demonstrable understanding of the entire syndicated research lifecycle, including questionnaire design, sampling theory, data collection, data processing, advanced analytics, and data interpretation.
  • Public Profile: A proven thought leader with a strong track record of public speaking, presenting at major industry events, and hosting compelling webinars.
  • Communication Skills: An exceptional writer and storyteller with the ability to distill complex data into clear, persuasive, and engaging narratives
  • Must be comfortable and adept at crafting both long-form content and executive-level presentations.
  • Client Presence: Polished and consultative client-facing skills with experience advising senior-level executives and building strategic relationships.
  • Strategic & Detail-Oriented: A strategic thinker who can define the "big picture" vision while also possessing a meticulous eye for the technical details that ensure research quality and credibility.
  • Collaborative Leader: A team-oriented professional with outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to lead through influence in a matrixed organization.
  • Commercial Acumen: A commercially-minded perspective with the ability to connect research insights directly to client business objectives and support the sales process.
  • Travel: Willingness and ability to travel as needed to engage with clients, lead events, and connect with internal teams.
