- Support the successful performance and operations of the Atlas Project Management Office (PMO) by leading corporate projects and initiatives. The PMO is comprised of staff that support Deliver Work operations with Project and Program Managers across the Atlas Hub and Spoke Offices and Atlas Technical Organization (ATO).
- Lead the continuous improvement, implementation and maintenance of the Atlas PM Training and Certification program. Coordinates across Atlas Subject Matter experts to develop content, conduct training, and manage the certification levels of Project Managers at Atlas.
- Provide Pricing and Estimating subject matter expertise and support to Atlas users through the use of the Project Estimating and Pricing Tool (PEPT). Support the development and execution of Atlas approach to risk and contingencies in the PEPT and associated risk management scenarios. Lead the maintenance and future development needs of the PEPT through collaboration with users and Atlas Business needs.
- Serve as the “Atlas Quality Assurance member” for Pricing or Estimating team on Major projects and contracts requiring C-Suite Executive level and/or Board of Director review and approval.
- Member of the Atlas Project and Program review and or audit teams to support continuous improvement of business practices and project performance. This includes review of Business operations project performance review process and participation in reviews of major projects, programs, and contracts. Perform analysis and findings and ensure best practices are shared and implemented across Atlas.
- Provide Major Project startup and initiation support to Project and Program managers such as Initiation checklists, Project Execution Plans (PXP’s), and Major Projects status and review process and procedures.
- Perform project and program performance analysis and reporting, complex project schedule development and review, risk management expertise and assessments, and change management expertise.
- Support the development and implementation of Deltek Resource Management across Atlas. In collaboration with the Hub and Spoke Offices and the ATO, develops dashboards, reporting and data generation needs for leadership, project, and program managers and ATO Practices and Practice Teams.
- Support the development of the PMO Business Plan and drives results in alignment with Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s). The Project Management Specialist collaborates with Atlas Regional, Hub and Spoke Office staff and the ATO in the performance of their duties.
- Support the development and execution of the PMO Business Plan and Key Performance Indicators.
- Coordinate and collaborate with project and program management staff across Atlas.
- Mentor, coach, and support the development of Project Management Excellence across Atlas.
- Development and maintenance of the program documents and training materials for the Atlas PM Training & Certification Program.
- Provide support and expertise for project reviews and audits including development and maintenance of templates, forms, and policies/procedures.
- Provide support and expertise for projects requiring complex scheduling development, review, and analysis.
- Support development, maintenance, analysis, and reporting of Atlas project and program performance metrics.
- Provide support and expertise for pricing and estimating across Atlas.
- Collect and analyze project controls information and provide analytics to Atlas leadership and management as required.
- Provide support in other Project Management areas such as Project Execution Plans, Risk Management, Change Management, communication plans, etc.
- Support and develop Project Controls Tools and information to support the Win Work and Deliver Work platform.
- Provide Atlas Resource Management reporting and dashboard expertise to PM’s.
- Demonstrates ability to manage and prioritize multiple priorities to achieve goals of the PMO.
- Represent Atlas technical excellence externally through participation in industry events and external activities.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively complex Program or Project management experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of Program or Project Management experience leading or participating in cross functional teams to deliver work products.
- Experience developing complex pricing, estimating, and scheduling.
- Experience providing pricing, estimating, and scheduling training.
- Expertise in the use and training of Deltek VantagePoint in project management (or similar systems) preferred.
- Knowledge and experience leading, developing, and managing project management principles and practices.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to communicate across all levels of an organization.
