And that’s the kind of work we want to be part of.has a need for a Technical Support Scientist who will serve as a scientific resource supporting site operations. They will specialize in the manufacturing of agarose products for electrophoresis and cell bioassays with the goal to develop and perform experimental designs.Key responsibilities:Scientific resource within the department and on cross functional teams supporting and driving continuous product and process improvements, validations, and investigations.Develop experimental design, perform experiments, compile and analyze data, write summary reports, prepare presentation and present information with conclusions and recommendations to team and stake holders.Active presence in manufacturing to identify areas of improvement and initiate changes to streamline and simplify processes.Lead/support in creating/revising SOPs, batch records and test protocols. Provide training to manufacturing techs and other departments as appropriate.Maintain high quality standards for all products and processes. Support/lead validations, establish vendor and product specifications, maintain Standard Process Controls for key products and processes.Lead investigations and manage projects to meet established milestones and deadline.Key requirements:Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Chemical Engineering, with 4-6 years of industry experienceOr, Masters in Science in Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Chemical Engineering, with 2-4 years of industry experienceMolecular biology, biochemistry science laboratory experience.Biotech manufacturing experience a plusUser knowledge of standard laboratory equipmentExperience in creating/revising SOPs, developing test methods, performing/leading validations and implementing new/improved processes.Knowledge of quality standards and systemsStatical analyses knowledgeAbility to work in fast pace continuously changing environment.Self-motivated strong team contributorEvery day, Lonza’s products and services have a positive impact on millions of people.
